Adam looks a hell of a lot better today than he had the first time they'd met, and Riley smiles when he sees him because between the two of them, he imagines they've already lived a lifetime of rough days. Sometimes it's just nice to savor the good ones.
"It is," he says in lieu of greeting, gesturing widely at the storefront with a proud smile. It'd taken some time to set things up and they'd hit a brief snag with the lease but eventually, they'd managed to work everything out. Now that they're open, business has going more smoothly than he could have hoped. "Well, mine and my friend's. That guy over there, the idiot with the dark hair? That's Ryan."
He rolls his eyes fondly as he catches a scowl from his best friend then turns back to Adam. "Things been going good for you?"
